There will be a class offered for interested students in basic drawing techniques, the elements of art, and the principles of design.  Focus will primarily be on skills rather than production, on pencil drawing with some additional media explored depending upon student interest. Class will be meeting the second and fourth Thursdays of the month for January, February, and March from 3:30-5 pm.  It is suggested that students try to attend regularly to benefit from the continuity of instruction.  Some flexibility with dates may be necessary, but families will be informed of this in advance if this will be the case.  The class will be directed towards students grades 9-12.  Mature middle-school students with an interest in art will be considered for participation.  Please contact Kathleen Kinney to discuss whether this class will meet your student’s needs.

Please reply to Kathleen.kinney@ideafamilies.org with this subject heading to let her know of your interest, student names, grades, and best way to contact you.  Thank you for your interest.

What is FIRST© LEGO© League Jr.? Guided by adult Coaches and FIRST© LEGO© League Jr. Core Values, students work with LEGO© elements and motorized parts to build ideas and concepts and present them for review. The program focuses on building interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) through a real-world challenge – to be solved by research, critical thinking, and imagination.

Meetings will be every Monday beginning Dec 10 and concluding April 29. The only Monday omitted will be April 1 because of state testing. Each  meeting will be from 12:30-2:00pm at IDEA. You must be pre-registered to attend.  For registration details please email Coach Candice. High School Art Class 3:30-5pm

    3:30 PM-5:00 PM
    03/28/2019
