Math Club: IDEA is proud to announce that we will once again be hosting a MATH CLUB this year! We are honored to have as our coach the awesome math and science teacher, Dr. Mike Donaldson, PhD. (Mike loves to incorporate science with mathematics which is a real BLAST!) MATH CLUB is for all IDEA students in grades 4-8. Your student will be engaged in hands-on mathematics and develop a strong foundational background in math as well as having a fun with other students. MATH CLUB incorporates MATH COUNTS which is a national middle school coaching and competitive mathematics program that promotes mathematics achievement through a series of fun and engaging “bee” style contests. There is a registration fee of $30 dollars and students are required to purchase a calculator. This money can be taken out of your allotment. If you have questions or you are interested in having your student participate in MATH CLUB, please email Contact Teacher Mary Ekblad, mailto:email@example.com Find out more about Math Counts at: http://mathcounts.org/ Staff sponsor is Contact Teacher Mary Ekblad.
