Family Field Trip to Ak Botanical Gardens – Thursday, September 22

Families are invited to arrive at the AK Botanical Gardens from noon to 3 o’clock to enjoy a self-tour of the gardens. Bring a lunch and enjoy it in the picnic area!

While at the Botanical Gardens, students in grades 7-12 are invited to participate in a Plants as Medicine Workshop from 1-2:15.

Would you like to visit with families who have students your age and enjoy the last bits of running trails before the snow?  Then come join IDEA’s Running Club.  Kids age 9 and up and adults may join the club which will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning August 23^rd through September 8^th. And then on Thursdays until September 29th^th from 3:00pm – 4:00pm at Westchester Lagoon Playground.

Parents, you are welcome to participate in Running Club or stay at the Westchester Lagoon Playground area in case your student needs you. We will learn stretching techniques and begin training on the bike path.  Our goal is to learn a bit about running. You may want to participate in the Tuesday Night Races which begin on September 13th.  Click here or scan the QR Code
