Nature journaling deepens our observations, thinking, and memory. In this workshop, you will learn three great questions to ask your children as you explore the natural world together. We will try some journaling activities that use skills in art, writing, math, and science. Journaling pages will be provided.

IDEA Teen Night. First Friday of every month. This is a great time for teens to visit, play games and enjoy gathering.  Parents are welcome to hang out. For each Friday, at least two parents must commit to staying on site. All IDEA Families are invited to the IDEA Anchorage Area Picnic @ Kincaid Park.  The Anchorage office will close at 11:00 AM on Thursday, 9/9/21 and open again at 8:00 AM on Friday, 9/10/21.

IDEA is excited to announce the return of the Annual Great Start  Picnic.   This year IDEA will provide all food. And some games. We look forward to seeing you.

October 2021

• 13 – PSAT testing in IDEA Offices (Sign up early. National Merit Scholars will be selected from Juniors taking the PSAT on this testing date. If you are not near an IDEA Office, check with your local high school regarding their testing dates.)
• 15 – First quarter work samples due

November 2021

• Nov TBA – Teachers and Field Reps gone for in-service training
• 15 – High School ILP Amendments due
• 25-26 – All regional offices closed for Thanksgiving

December 2021

• 1 – Reimbursement requests for materials and services purchased between July and November due
