If you are an experienced homeschooler, you probably already know what you like, or at least have a few companies with which you are familiar. It is likely that the vendors that you wish to use are already on our vendor list, and our staff can let you know if you want to be sure.

But if you are new to homeschooling, you may have no idea where to begin and this page is for you! It is a "short list" of just a sampling of vendors, with the "bare bones" information on a handful of popular vendors in a few catagories. General Homeschool Supply

The most popular vendor among IDEA families is Rainbow Resource Center, the master warehouse of all materials for homeschooling, from curriculum (both packages and subject-specific), biographies and historical fiction, math games and manipulatives, science kits, and books about homeschooling! The catalog is fully indexed, the descriptions are great, and nearly all of the prices are discounted. Many families start here, even if it is just to get an idea what sort of things there are out there that are designed specifically for homeschoolers.

Packages

Particularly if you are new to homeschooling, a complete package may be the way to go! Packages offer everything you need from one provider: texts for the core subjects of math, language arts, science, and social studies, answer keys, teaching tips, even daily lesson plans.
