Alaska Business Week

The Alaska Business Week Program will be held on the UAF campus this summer, June 1-8, 2013. Modeled after the very successful Washington Business Week program, it gives students (finishing 9th through 12th grade) the opportunity to experience college life, work through real-life business case scenarios, and develop their leadership talents under the guidance of dedicated business executives. Most students immerge from the program with a new perspective on their talents and leadership capabilities. Two college credits are available to students successfully completing the program. Scholarships available; transportation may also be provided.

Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education

ACPE promotes access to and success in education and career training beyond high school through early awareness programs, education planning tools and resources, and free and low-cost financial aid programs such as the Alaska Performance Scholarships and the Alaska Supplemental Education Loan.

Anchorage Museum

The Anchorage Museum offers homeschool programs from October to May, including Guided Investigations, Family Learning Labs, and Evening for Educators. What is The Study? The Study was inspired by a teacher who consistently spoke negativity over her students, basically speaking the words, "You will never and you can't." Kerri Nelson was one of her students. Kerri decided to go into teaching with a mission of assuring students that they can! After ten years of teaching at Cook Inlet Academy and encouraging students that they will and they can; she decided to provide the community with a positive place where students can come and be challenged, coached, and inspired to love learning!
